Pinellas and Tampa Bay Rat, Mouse & Rodent Control

The Tampa Bay area has been fighting off rodents since before it was founded in 1823, but technological equipment has been created over time allowing us to better control rats and mice in residential and commercial properties. These advances, coupled with A-Team Trapper’s vast experience (and our own custom designed tactics), can control and prevent your wildlife issues. From raised homes in northeast St. Petersburg to a multistory office building in Palm Harbor, our tactics provide proven results.

We understand that rats are very scent driven animals, and once in an attic they will instantly leave a “scent trail”. As soon as the space or area is contaminated with urine and feces, pheromones are instantly left behind that are sure to attract even more rats. Typically the colony will send out “scout” rats when they have outgrown the space and food source that they currently occupy. Once the scouts have acquired a possible new food source or area they will leave a scent trail (feces & urine) used as a road map for their colony to relocate. This new scent trail will be recognized by any and all animals leading to an infestation as soon as 2 weeks’ time.

Rat’s reproduction systems are phenomenal, due to the fact that one little rat can reproduce about 40 babies per year on average. That means your rodent issue can potentially double or quadruple in size rapidly.

Do not fear because A-Team Trappers has a solution to remedy these unsightly little visitors that are making your attic a bed and breakfast. So whether you live in St. Petersburg, Seminole, Tampa, or Pasco, A-Team will take the most aggressive approach possible in getting all of the rodents out and preventing any future concerns.

The pheromone control and treatment plan will be completed in a 3 step process. The first step is to fog the entire attic with an antimicrobial scrub to eliminate the risk of toxic airborne pathogens. Next we attempt to physically remove the feces by vacuuming the high activity areas and soiled parts of the insulation. The final step is to remove any residual pheromones to better guarantee that the attraction to other rodents is eliminated. This attic treatment process is extremely crucial for future prevention and A-Team Trappers offers guarantees along the way.

Aside from the trapping and closing of entry points, the pheromone and bacterial removal is crucial for future prevention of an infestation. The feces and urine of the rodents are no joking matter because they can be toxic and harmful to children, adults and pets. These health hazards can include all of the following:

  • Eosinophilic Meningitis
  • Ratbite fever (RBF)
  • Leptospirosis
  • Bubonic Plague
  • Murine Typhus
  • Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium
  • Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS)
