WHY BAT REMOVAL IN FORT MYERS, FL IS SO IMPORTANT
There are a number of misconceptions surrounding bats. Bats are not likely to attack humans and are quite useful. They feed on a number of bugs, including mosquitos, which make them important to our environment. Some people even create bat houses to control bug populations. However, one place you don’t want bats is in your attic. While they aren’t quite as destructive as other nuisance animals, they can do significant damage to your home. Their feces, known as guano, has been known to rot trusses, walls, and even roofs. Guano is also hazardous to humans as it can give off toxic fungal spores when dry.
SHOULD I REMOVE THE BATS ON MY OWN?
While you can find a great deal of information on the internet about bat removal, there’s nothing like the assurance of having an expert handle this difficult task. It’s inhumane and unsanitary to use poison to kill the bats. It’s ineffective and dangerous to simply trap them. The best way to remove the bats is through a process called exclusion. During an exclusion, seal all areas where bats can gain access to your home (keep in mind, bats can squeeze through a hole the size of a dime). You then create a tube for which the bats can escape from your house. This tube and the sealing of your house prevents the bats from re-entering the home.
